As we keep using fossil fuels for our energy needs, we come face to face with the consequences of the pollution generated and the damage it’s doing to the environment. Auto manufacturers have started to produce environmentally friendly cars in an effort minimize the detrimental consequences of fuel emissions.
An automobile that runs on battery might might be the vehicle that is best for the environment. Since the battery is the primary source of power, the vehicle does not need any of the regular car gasoline. So this is great for the environment and will result in cash savings but there is a problem to think about. Although they are available to the public today, due to being a recent development, the car engines have limitations. The battery charge lasts roughly 100 miles, so the car won’t run too far without having to get get charged again.
Still one alternative available is a hybrid vehicle. An environmentally friendly hybrid is gasoline and battery powered. The Prius is a hybrid vehicle developed by Toyota and has been tested to run 50 miles per gallon. It costs more or less $22,000 and is today one of the market leaders. Honda was in fact the first to enter the market for hybrid cars with a hybrid called the Insight and Toyota followed suit. It helped spread awareness for hybrids and paved the way for Toyota’s Prius. There’s also the Ford Fusion Hybrid which has gotten lots of accolades and can be had for about $27,000. It has been hailed as the greatest American hybrid car created. Mitsubishi’s i-MiEV is thought to possess an emission level of zero. When it comes to Japanese auto makers, it was one of the earliest electric cars created.
